Parish History
Halifax Holy Trinity was a chapel of ease built within the parish of Halifax St John the Baptist.
'The church dedicated to 'Holy Trinity, situated in the western portion of the town, was built in 1798, by Dr. Coulthurst, then vicar, and is a handsome structure in the Grecian style, with a campanile turret surmounted by a dome, and embellished with pilasters of the Ionic order: the living is a perpetual curacy; net income, £130; patron, John Whitacre, Esq.'[1]
