Please use this template for each courthouse, recorder’s office, archive, library, society, museum, or other repository with one or more collections of interest to genealogists.
Repository name.
Contact information. E-mail address, postal address, telephone, hours, links to the repository’s website (especially online catalogs or databases), and a repository image.
Collection description. Please briefly describe the strengths and weaknesses of each collection for genealogists (about two or three sentences for smaller collections). For example, explain the collection size, who (which ethnic, political, or religious groups) are covered, dates covered, jurisdictions covered, record types available, significant indexes, and any noteworthy record loss or gaps.
Tips for using the repository.
Guide(s) to the repository. Internet or guide books describing this collection for genealogists.
Substitute repositories. Explain where a user could go if this repository does not have a needed record. List (link to a Wiki article for) at least one or more other repositories that collect similar family history material including central repositories, affiliated or branch repositories, higher level jurisdiction repositories, parent or daughter jurisdiction repositories, or neighboring repositories with copies of records in this repository, or similar collections with possibly overlapping material. Please briefly explain how each substitute repository is related.
