Brief History

Members of the 3rd Battalion of the Missouri Confederate Cavalry enrolled between 11 January and 15 August 1862. They were led by Colonel Upton Hays.

Company G - Captain Henry Clay Price - Many men from Stockton, Cedar County

Company H - Captains J. G. Payton and Griff Bayne - Many men from Jackson County

Company I - Captain William C. Clanton - Many men from Jackson County

Company K - Captain Joseph C. Kent - Many men from Jackson County
