unused chart[edit source]

The tracking chart at the bottom of the page was added a year and a half ago, January 2011, and does not appear to be in use. I think it is confusing to users since it has only four articles out of hundreds listed. I believe the only reason it is here is because someone added it a while back and everyone thinks it must be there for a reason. I am going to delete it. If I am wrong in deleting it, just add it back.Lotje 00:41, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Citing records from another language[edit source]

Some of the records collections pages are being copied and translated to the Spanish wiki. The names of the collections are being transcribed into Spanish. My question is: When instructing readers on How to Cite FamilySearch Collections should they cite a translated name of the collection or leave the collection name in English.

The issue I have with citing a translated name is that the same word or phrase can often be translated several different ways. If collection names are translated in citations they then need to be re-translated back into English for anyone trying to order the collection or locate the collection at the library. The re-translated name may not be the same as the original name making it difficult to locate the correct collection. Does anyone have any idea how citations of collections with a foreign language name should be handled? Lotje2 18:22, 8 July 2012 (UTC)
