Your Calling

You are called of God

President Henry B. Eyring[1] has said:

  • You are called of God.
  • The Lord will guide you by revelation just as He called you.
  • Just as God called you and will guide you, He will magnify you.
  • You do not work alone. He will work with you Himself.
  • Give your best effort and your whole heart.
  • Your efforts will be magnified in the lives of the people you serve: not only in this life, but those spirits waiting to receive the ordinances they need to progress.

Pray for guidance

  • As you pray, you WILL receive the guidance you need from above.
  • Don't do it all. Prayerfully choose something to do or learn and just be doing. That's all the Lord asks of us.

Progressing in your calling

Steps.jpg
  • Pray for guidance.
  • Get going and be involved.
  • Just be "doing".
  • Don’t become overwhelmed.
  • Progress at your own pace.
  • Be patient and kind to yourself.
  • Take time to learn in small increments. Remember the Lord's admonishment in Isaiah 28:10:
"For precept must be upon precept...; line upon line...; here a little, and there a little"
  • Take little bites, noting what you have worked on and where you want to go next.
  • Keep track of all those who you contact for your own reference and have the information available to pass on.
  • You do NOT need to know it all.
  • Keep a notepad and write down any questions/problems you encounter, then ASK for clarification or help.

REMEMBER: This training is about giving you the tools to help you. The Lord asks us just to be doing. COME BACK often for updates as new training, easier methods, and new technology becomes available, etc.
