*To get the records of someone that served for Canada in WWI, Start by following the above link. Go to the search screen and type in the name you have. If there is a match, you may be able to see images of the of the individuals attestation papers. In order to aquire the persons full service files, you need their regimental number, as well as their full name. You will also need the full reference which starts usually with RG150. For more information on the records, click on the search help. To order copies, click on "How to consult a file on-site or order a copy of the complete file. You will need to provide payment such as a credit card. You can then visit Library & Archives Canada yourself, have LAC make copies for you, or contact a free-lance researcher to assist you.<br> | |||
