"Censuses are a good source for finding information about ancestors. Here you can e.g. see information on age, occupation, marital status and with whom a person lived. After 1834, the censuses were usually held every 5 years. So far, most censuses have been entered, and therefore you have the best chance of finding the people you want in the censuses. Data is divided into counties, as they were divided before 1970. You can choose between several search options: with or without area suggestions, simple or more advanced search, in one or more counties and finally you can search simultaneously for a household/family when you know , who have lived together."
