A Census for 1939. As a result of the National Registration Act in 1939, the civilian population was recorded. Each person was listed with data similar to the Census and assigned a number. Data can now be researched for deceased individuals (must be proven dead) for a non-refundable fee of 42 pounds sterling even if the search is unsuccessful.
