Coming Events November 12 – Jewish Family History Open House: The Family History Center is delighted to be joining with the San Francisco Bay Area Jewish Genealogical Society in celebration of Jewish Family History Month by hosting an open house on November 13 from 1 – 5 p.m. Experienced researchers will be on hand to assist beginners through advanced researchers in Jewish genealogy. Local researcher and author Ron Arons will present "Putting the Flesh on the Bones: Researching Why Our Ancestors Did What They Did." Bring your documents (copies only, no originals, please) and questions. The goal is for each attendee to find the answer to at least one question about his or her family history.

Oakland California Family History Center The Oakland (California) Regional Family History Center is one of the largest and most accessible centers for genealogical research in California, with over 9,000 volumes of books, periodicals, family histories, city and county histories, city directories, plus over 37,000 reels of microfilm and 9,000 microfiche containing millions of local vital records and historical census data from all over the world.
