Add miscellaneous databases to various counties

Task List

Part A - Oklahoma - REMOVE LINK

We mistakenly put a link on every Oklahoma county for Voter Records. We need to remove it from the counties that the database does not cover.

Step One - Sign Up

  • Go to the task list and sign your name to a county for Oklahoma on the list: task list



Step Two - Click the Link

  • Using the links on the task list, click the county you want to work on.



Step Three - Click Other Records in the Contents

  • In the contents, select Other Records. Or scroll down to the Other Records header.



Step Four - Click Edit Source next to Other Records

  • Click Edit Source next to Other Records.



Step Five - Remove Database

  • REMOVE the following code from the county page.

Step Six - Review and Save the Page

  • Click Show Preview to make sure all the information was removed.



  • Enter in the Summary and click Save changes:

Part B - Massachusetts Births - ADD LINK

Step One - Sign Up

  • Go to the task list and sign your name to a town in a county in Massachusetts on the list: task list



Step Two - Click the Link

  • Using the links on the task list, click the town to open the Wiki page.



Step Three - Click Births in the Contents

  • In the contents, select Births. Or, scroll down to the Births header.



Step Four - Click Edit Source next to Births

  • Click Edit Source next to Births.



Step Five - Copy and Paste the Database

  • Copy the following code and paste it in chronological order by date with the other databases listed.

Exceptions:

  • If the link is already on the page, replace it with this new link to make it match the new manual of style. Do not worry about other entries on the page that are not in accordance with the manual of style.
  • If there are no other entries with dates, put this as the first bullet.

Step Six - Check the Database and Save the Page

Part C - Maine Marriages - ADD LINK

This Lincoln County database covers other counties in Maine. We are adding it to the applicable counties and their town pages found on the task list.

Step One - Sign Up

  • Go to the task list and sign your name to a town in a county in Maine on the list: task list



Step Two - Click the Link

  • Using the links on the task list, click the town to open the Wiki page.



Step Three - Click Marriages in the Contents

  • In the contents, select Marriages. Or, scroll down to the Marriages header.



Step Four - Click Edit Source next to Marriages

  • Click Edit Source next to Marriages.



Step Five - Copy and Paste the Database

  • Copy the following code and paste it in chronological order by date with the other databases listed.
