This is a documentation subpage for Template:Featured Article (see that page for the template itself).
It contains usage information, categories and other content that is not part of the original template page.

This template is used to create a brief overview of an article to display as a featured article.

Parameters

article: The name of the featured article
image: An image to be use with the featured article
tagline: A tagline for the featured article

Optional parameters

linkwords: Alternative words to use in the article wikilink
orientation: Set as portrait if the image is taller than it is wide
