Ogden Family History Conference/2017
Welcome:
Saturday September 9, 2017 is the date for the upcoming Conference at Weber State University in their Shepherd Union Building. This will be an all day event starting at 8:30 AM with a keynote speaker, then moving into the approximately 60 different classes that will be offered.
Since our 2006 Conference, this event has been and is entirely free and open to the public. We are grateful for the sponsorship of the Weber State University History Department and the Ogden FamilySearch Library, who make this annual family history conference possible.
Class Schedules, Biographical sketches, Class Descriptions and other information will be entered into this page as the information becomes available.

One-On-One service
This year we will again offer personalized help with your family history, genealogy or research questions. We will be setting up a sign in link so you can register and communicate with an assigned helper for your visit to the conference. This activity will be done through the FamilySearch portal, so it will be necessary for you to provide your user name and helper identification number (located at your FamilySearch.org profile page).
Keynote Speaker
Elder Steven M Petersen of the 5th Quorum of the Seventies,will be our keynote speaker for this conference. He resides in Farr West, Utah; is chairman of the board, Petersen Inc.; former bishop, high councilor, stake president’s counselor, stake president, and mission president; married to Polly Petersen, seven children.
Class Schedule
Our class schedule is still being formulated, however as of July 21, 2017 these are the 56 confirmed speakers and class subjects. The Titles in many cases are generic as a subject only pending the presenters providing specific class titles.

Food
We have reserved parts of the Shepherd Union Building Food Court on the 2nd floor for hot and cold food starting at 11:00 AM. Vending machines are also available on most floors for snacks and drinks.
Prize Drawing
Will be held at 4:15 in the Ball Room. Many of our vendors have donated items that will be raffled off. Collect your vendor table signatures/verification onto your program. Then obtain your raffle ticket at booth #46 on the 3rd floor.
