Middlesex or Greater London, had at least four Lying-in Hospitals. These were as follows:

1) British Lying In Hospital, Endell Street, Holborn 2) City of London Lying In Hospital, City Road, Finsbury 3) General Lying In Hospital, York Road, Lambeth (or New Westminster Lying In Hospital, at Westminster) 4) Queen Charlotte's Hospital, Marylebone Road (now Goldhawk Rd, Hammersmith)
