Class Reminders for the week of October 31st through November 2nd at the Payson FamilySearch Center

We offer a variety of classes each month taught by amazing presenters. There just might be one listed below that you’ve been waiting for. Check it out; there’s no sign-up necessary. If you cannot attend in person, join us on zoom: https://zoom.us/j/95589561172?pwd=ZHVjdC9HZ1d2QUx1TDJtZnpaY0ZkQT09. The FamilySearch Center will host the following classes during January. Note: each Thursday evening at 7:30, Shaunese Luthy & Shelley Strand are certified genealogists who are available to help individuals to learn to research their family history. No appointment needed.

Thursday, January 18, 6:00 pm, Michael Buck will be teaching “How do I preserve all that digital data I’ve collected.” Michael worked at FamilySearch for 15 years and has acquired a great deal of facts, information and skills from his experience. How do you maintain your digital data? If you need help and new ideas, this class is for you.

Thursday, January 18, 7:30 pm, Shelly Strand/Shaunese Luthy will be teaching an aspect of family history, answering questions and helping individuals with personal needs. Join them and learn the most efficient way to research your family. Shelly and Shaunese both have degrees in family history and genealogy.

Tuesday, January 23, 10:30 am, Rose Nyman will be teaching “Fun with Photos Using My Heritage.” Rose is an artist and photographer. You will be amazed at the beautiful ways she portrays her family through her paintings and pictures. Come learn how you can turn your photos into lasting, treasured memories. Rose is the Temple and Family History Leader for her Ward and works at the FamilySearch Center.

Wednesday, January 24, 1:00 pm, NO CLASS SCHEDULED Come anyway; we are open 9:00 am to 9 pm and here to help!

Thursday, January 25, 6:00 pm, Olivia Jewell will be teaching “Using the Marco Polo App for Family History.” The purpose of Marco Polo is helping people feel close. What a great way to learn more about deceased ancestors through existing family while becoming closer to them as well. Olivia is the founder of the Family Connections Experiment, a project focused on connecting families past and present and measuring the psychological benefits of increasing those connections. She is a professional presenter for genealogy and other educational conferences and her technological experience will simplify your learning about Marco Polo and how it can benefit your family history.

Thursday, January 25, 7:30 pm, Shelly Strand/Shaunese Luthy always have an interesting aspect of family history to teach. They both have degrees in family history and genealogy. Come and get your personal questions answered and assistance with your family search from these professional genealogists. If you join them, you will learn the most efficient way to research your family.
