So Many Stories, So Little Time[edit | edit source]
Instructor: Kathryn Marshal
Indulge in a selection of lesser known, pivotal moments and colorful characters in history that may have impacted your ancestors’ lives more than you knew. Understanding back stories sheds a whole new light on ancestral migrations, explaining much, and often transforming what you thought you knew. There’s never enough time to tell great stories like the German Palatines and their Oneida Indian benefactors. What came out of the Bunch of Grapes Tavern? The former slaves who foiled Emperor Napoleon’s brilliant plot to defeat England and conquer the United States. Juan Caballo leading 300 Seminole refugees to safety, pursued by Texas Rangers in a daring midnight river crossing. Come hear the important tales of times past.
