Brief History[edit | edit source]

The 45th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union) was organized at Sedalia, Warrensburg and Otterville August 10 to September 17, 1864. They were attached to District of St. Louis, Mo., Dept. of Missouri, to December, 1864. They were with the Unattached, 4th Division, 23rd Army Corps, Army Ohio, to March, 1865.[1]

Companies in this Regiment with the Counties of Origin[edit | edit source]

Men often enlisted in a company recruited in the counties where they lived though not always. After many battles, companies might be combined because so many men were killed or wounded. However if you are unsure which company your ancestor was in, try the company recruited in his county first.
