Class Reminders for the week of October 31st through November 2nd at the Payson FamilySearch Center
We offer a variety of classes each month taught by amazing presenters. There just might be one listed below that you’ve been waiting for. Check it out; there’s no sign-up necessary. The FamilySearch Center will host the following classes during February 5th - February 11th Classes are free to attend. We hope you will come and bring a friend.
“Stop Wasting Your Time on Searches” Most people do not have hours to search for things on FamilySearch. Van Celaya will show you fast and accurate ways to do research on FamilySearch. It will save you time and produce the results you need. Van Celaya worked for a major technology company for over 35 years. He has been doing genealogy since the age of 12 and has taught family history to over 53,000 people. Van works for BYU as an instructor and teaches webinars to people all over the world. “Announcement Announcement: Obituaries and Death Notices” Shelly and Shaunese have degrees in family history and genealogy.Their class starts in Classroom A. You will learn how to find death certificates and obituaries and all the information you can obtain from them. After the class, they will be able to help you with any research questions you might have in our computer room. Teacher: Shelly Strand and Shaunese Luthy Date: Thursday, February 8th Time: 7:30 pm
Multi-Stake Fireside: “THE FAMILY HISTORY GUIDE”
Bob Ives, the creator of the “The Family History Guide” is bringing his team and presenting how this guide can help you in any aspect of your Family History work. From the beginner to the expert, there is something for everyone. Come Follow Me helps, how to interpret your DNA, Family Activities, how to use Ancestry, My Heritage, and Find my Past sites are just a few things you can learn about.
