Population Schedules - Online Records
The first census in Canada was in 1851. Ontario was called Canada West (also known at times as Upper Canada) in the 1851 and 1861 Censuses. Starting in 1871, it was known as the province of Ontario and is in all Canada Censuses thereafter.
