About Us

The Dallas Genealogical Society (DGS) is a Texas non-profit organization whose purpose is threefold:
1. to educate by creating, fostering, and maintaining interest in genealogy
2. to support the Genealogy Section of the J. Erik Jonsson Central Public Library in Dallas, Texas
3. to preserve historical information relating to the city of Dallas, Dallas County, and North Texas
