- English - 67.5% of population - the everyday language and the first language of native Sint Maarteners.
- Spanish - 12.9% of population
- Creole - 8.2% of population - a local variety of Virgin Islands Creole is spoken in informal situations between individuals.
- French - 6.6% of population
- Dutch - 4.2% of population - most learn Dutch as a second language and only used between other Dutch speakers. Used when communicating with the Dutch government.
