Payson Family History Center

The Payson Family History Center has moved to the Seminary Building behind Mt Nebo Middle School. People of all ages-young and old- are invited to learn how to find your roots or discover your family history. Knowledgeable consultants are here to guide and answer questions. Our services are provided free to the public. NEW SCANNING AND DIGITIZING EQUIPMENT HAS RECENTLY BEEN INSTALLED! Digitize your old audio cassettes, VHS tapes, photos, negatives, slides or books.

WALK-INS WELCOME. However, for GROUPS or to use digitizing equipment, please click to make an online appointment.

Upcoming Events

Temple and Family History Consultant Training for all consultants in Payson, Utah

Temple and Family History Consultant Training every 2nd Sunday of each month. Basic family history training starting at 6:00 PM and advanced starting at 7:00 PM. If you are a Temple and Family History Consultant, you are welcome to come to this training.

Hardware and Equipment

  • 16 modern computers
  • 1 HP color inkjet printer/scanner/copier
  • 1 Lexmark B&W printer/scanner to scan pictures/documents to family tree
  • 2 Kodak PS-40/80 Photo Scanner with 1 Flat Bed (1000 pictures scanned in one hour)!
  • 2 projectors with screens
  • 1 audio cassette digitizers
  • 2 slide/negative scanners
  • 2 VHS to DVD converters (from any tape format)
  • 1 Book Scanner (must be operated by consultants only, but they will be happy to scan your book for you)
