Current Projects page Gotoarrow.png Adding Coverage Maps links

Purpose[edit | edit source]

The purpose of this project is update FamilySearch database entries already on US county wiki pages and add links to the FamilySearch Coverage maps and to the Coverage Maps instruction wiki page. This project will cover many databases of different record types and different states.

Project Instructions[edit | edit source]

1. Go to the Task List and sign up for a state to work on. Once you have signed up for a state, click on the link next to the state name on the

3. Edit the FHC wiki page and go to Wikitext.

4. Delete everything BUT the category at the bottom of the page. The category will look something like: [[Category:Argentina_Family_History_Centers]]

17. Once you have added the link, go to the bottom of the page and click, "Show Preview" to review the links to make sure they are blue. Make any necessary adjustments.

18. Once you have reviewed it, go to the Edit Summary field and type in, Updated FamilySearch link and click, "Save Page"

19. Repeat this task for each county you signed up for. Once you have completed your counties, return to the Task List and edit the page by listing the date you finished the FHC page. You are now done with the task!
