Road running from Macon, Georgia to Montgomery, Alabama.
Historical Background[edit | edit source]
Many settlers travelling to Alabama, Mississippi, northern Louisiana and Texas used this trail. From Macon, GA the trail followed present day U.S. Route 80 to reach the middle parts of Georgia and Alabama. [1]
