Record Description[edit | edit source]

The collection consists of civil registration (stato civile) of births, marriages, and deaths within the custody of the Vibo Valentia Courthouse (Tribunale di Vibo Valentia). Includes ten-year indexes (indici decennali); residency records (cittadinanze); marriage memorandums (atti di memorandum); and marriage banns (pubblicazioni). The Province of Vibo Valentia was created in 1996 from the Province of Catanzaro. Availability of records is largely dependent on time period and locality. This collection covers the years 1861 to 1910.
