Monthly Class Schedule
All classes are held in the Training Room of the Family History Center. Please register in advance by calling the Brigham City Family History Center at 723-5995.
Monday, June 2 - 10:00 a.m. - Finding Family Through DNA, taught by Julie Johnson
This class introduces the concept of using DNA to discover your roots. Come and learn how genetic research can help you learn more about your family.
Tuesday, June 3 – 10:00 a.m. - United States Census, taught by Shari Duce
This class teaches the importance of census records in the United States from 1790 to 1940. Learn how to get more out of your census research.
Wednesday, June 4 – 2:00 p.m. - Beginning Family Tree, taught by Mikael Trimnal
This class teaches the basics of Family Tree from logging on to maneuvering the tree and person pages. Adding information and searching will also be taught if time during the class.
Saturday, June 7 – 10:00 a.m. - Family Tree Questions and Answers, taught by Barry Evans
Do you have Family Tree questions? Brother Evans is a FamilySearch Support Missionary and has the answers to solve problems in Family Tree. Come learn more about Family Tree.
Wednesday, June 11 – 2:00 p.m. - Intermediate Family Tree, taught by Mikael Trimnal
This class teaches how to reserve ordinances for the temple and editing information and relationships on Family Tree. Merging and sourcing will also be taught.
Thursday, June 12 – 6:00 p.m. - Finding Names for the Temple, taught by Linda Peterson
Do you want to take a family member to the temple? This class teaches how to find potential names and how to go about researching and preparing the names for the temple.
Wednesday, June 18 – 2:00 p.m. - Beginning Legacy, taught by Rebekah Terry
Legacy is one of the personal database programs which can exchange data with FamilySearch. This class will teach how to get started and the basics of using the program.

Friday, June 20 – 10:00 a.m. - Ancestry.com, taught by Susan LaVelle
Ancestry is one of the programs now being offered free to LDS members. Come and learn how to set up an account and use the program to discover more about your family
Saturday, June 21 – 10:00 a.m. - Scanning Tips and Techniques, taught by Michael Palmer
Ever wonder about all those scanning options? Come and learn how to correctly preserve your photos and documents in a digital format.
