Monthly Class Schedule
All classes are held in the Training Room of the Family History Center. Please register in advance by calling the Brigham City Family History Center at 723-5995.
Saturday, May 3 - 10:00 a.m. - Danish Workshop, taught by Anita Olsen, AG
This workshop is an opportunity to learn from an accredited Danish genealogist and get help with your Danish research questions.
Monday, May 5 – 10:00 a.m. - Family Tree Beginning, taught by Annette Shepherd
This class teaches the basics of Family Tree from logging on to maneuvering through different aspects on the tree page and the person page. Adding information and searching will also be taught if there is time.
Thursday, May 8 – 6:00 p.m. - Swedish Research Class , taught by Anita Olsen, AG
This class teaches the basics of Swedish research. You will learn what records are available and how to search and read the records.
Saturday, May 10 – 10:00 a.m., -Family Tree Photos, Documents, and Stories, taught by Susan LaVelle
This class teaches how to upload photos, stories, and documents to Family Tree. Participants should bring photos, documents or stories stored on a removable drive to practice using these features of Family Tree.

Tuesday, May 13 – 11:00 a.m. -Legacy Users Group – Intermediate, taught by Anita Olsen, AG
Come and learn how to use the software program, "Legacy 8". This users group will answer questions and give time to practice the use of this program.
Tuesday, May 13 – 6:00 p.m. - Getting Started with Your Research, taught by Linda Peterson
This class teaches the basics of getting started and using Family Search and other online programs. This is the basics for anyone just beginning or needing a refresher course.
Monday, May 19 – 10:00 a.m. - Family Tree Intermediate, taught by Annette Shepherd
This class teaches how to reserve ordinances for the temple, editing information and relationships on our family tree. Merging and sourcing are also taught.
Wednesday, May 21 – 6:00 p.m. or Thursday, May 29 - 10:00 a.m. - Basic Online Resources for the Beginning Genealogist, presented by Lisa Alzo
Video from RootsTech 2014. This session will walk beginners through the exciting journey of genealogy. Learn what information is online, how to effectively search databases, and share information with others.

Thursday, May 29 – 2:00 p.m. -FamilySearch Indexing, taught by Roger Hendrickson
This class provides answers for getting started in indexing records for FamilySearch. Learn how to begin batches and download them to your own computers.
Saturday, May 31 – 10:00 a.m. - What’s New in Family Tree? Taught by Barry Evans
Come and learn what new features have recently been added to Family Tree and how to use these tools to work more efficiently in Family Tree.
Monday, June 2 - 10:00 a.m. - Finding Family Through DNA, taught by Julie Johnson
This class introduces the concept of using DNA to discover your roots. Come and learn how genetic research can help you learn more about your family.
Tuesday, June 3 – 10:00 a.m. - United States Census, taught by Shari Duce
This class teaches the importance of census records in the United States from 1790 to 1940. Learn how to get more out of your census research.
Wednesday, June 4 – 2:00 p.m. - Beginning Family Tree, taught by Mikael Trimnal
This class teaches the basics of Family Tree from logging on to maneuvering the tree and person pages. Adding information and searching will also be taught if time during the class.
Saturday, June 7 – 10:00 a.m. - Family Tree Questions and Answers, taught by Barry Evans
Do you have Family Tree questions? Brother Evans is a FamilySearch Support Missionary and has the answers to solve problems in Family Tree. Come learn more about Family Tree.
