Units 1st through 2nd

  • 1st Regiment, Missouri State Militia Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, May 13, 1862, by consolidation of various companies State Militia Infantry raised at St. Louis, Missouri. Served as prison guard and Provost guard at St. Louis until September 28, 1862.

Units 3rd through 4th

  • 3rd Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, September 3, 1861, to January 18, 1862. At various locations, then with 3rd Brigade, 1st Division, 15th Army Corps, to November, 1864.
  • 3rd Provisional Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) 3rd Provisional Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia was enrolled between 14 April 1863 and 20 May 1863. They were ordered into service between 14 April 1863 and 20 May 1863. The Regiment was discharged between 12 September 1863 and 9 December 1863.
  • 4th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, by consolidation of Gasconade Battalion and 3rd Regiment United States Reserve Corps January, 1862.
    Mustered out February 1, 1863.

Units 5th through 11th

  • 5th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis March 18, 1862, by consolidation of 5th United States Reserve Corps, Voerster's Company Sappers and Miners, Giester's Company Pioneers and Winkelman's Company Pontooneers.
    Companies "A" and "I" transferred to 25th Missouri Infantry, and Companies "H" and "K" to 27th Missouri Infantry. Companies "B," "C," "D," "E," "F" and "G" mustered out November 22, 1862.
  • 10th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, August, 1861. Served at various locations to December, 1863. With the 2nd Brigade, 3rd Division, 15th Army Corps, to October, 1864.

They were ordered into service between August 3 1861 and August 16 1861. The Regiment was discharged on January 15 1866.

Units 12th through 22nd

  • 12th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry (Union)The 12th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry was enrolled between 7 August 1861 and 1 September 1861. They were ordered into service between 13 August 1861 and 19 December 1861. The Regiment was discharged on 12 August 1864 thru 19 December 1864.
  • 13th Regiment, Missouri Infantry Union Missouri
    Organized at St. Louis, Missouri, September, 1864, to February, 1865, from Veterans of Missouri State Militia Regiments. Attached to District of Rolla and Dept. of Missouri to July, 1866.
  • 13th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry (Union) The 13th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry was enrolled between June 17 1861 and August 24 1861. They were ordered into service between 120 June 1861 and 28 August 1861. The Regiment was discharged on 26 October 1861.
  • 14th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry (Union) The 14th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry was enrolled between August 20 1861 and November 9 1861. They were ordered into service between August 20 1861 and November 9 1861. The Regiment was discharged between August 27 1864 and July 7 1865.
  • 21st Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized February 1, 1862, from 1st and 2nd Northeast Regiments Missouri Infantry.
    Served with various units to August, 1865. Then with the Department of Alabama to April, 1866.
  • 21st Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry (Union) 21st Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry was enrolled between 12 July 1861 and 13 November 1861. They were ordered into service between 16 September 1861 and 1 February 1862. The Regiment was discharged between 3 February 1863 and 19 April 1866.

Units 23rd through 32nd

  • 23rd Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry (Union) 23rd Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry was enrolled between 3 August 1861 and 12 December 1861. They were ordered into service between 16 September 1861 and 25 January 1862. The Regiment was discharged between 20 September 1864 and 18 July 1865.
  • 24th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry (Union) 24th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry was enrolled between 2 August 1861 and 23 November 1861. They were ordered into service between 11 October 1861 and 30 November 1861. The Regiment was discharged between 7 October 1864 and 17 October 1864.
  • 24th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized in Missouri at large October 24 to December 28, 1861.
    Served with various units to June 1864. Then with the Department of the Tennessee to October, 1864.
  • 25th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized as 13th Missouri Infantry June, 1861. Designation changed to 25th Missouri September, 1861.
    Served with various units to June, 1863. With 6th Division, 16th Army Corps, Department of the Tennessee, to February, 1864.
  • 26th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry (Union) 26th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry was enrolled between 20 August 1861 and 20 November 1861. They were ordered into service between 31 August 1861 and 10 January 1862. The Regiment was discharged between 13 December 1864 and 26 December 1865.
  • 26th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized in Missouri at large September to December, 1861.
    Served with various units to April, 1865. With the 3rd Brigade, 2nd Division, 15th Army Corps, to August, 1865.
  • 26th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) The 26th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia was enrolled between 31 July 1862 and 5 April 1863. They were discharged between 4 February 1863 and 30 April 1863. They were then re-enrolled between 20 September 1864 and 1 October 1864. They were then discharged again between 18 and 19 November 1864.
  • 27th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry (Union) 27th Regiment, Volunteer Missouri Infantry was enrolled between 12 August 1861 and 25 September 1862. They were ordered into service between 9 September 1861 and 7 January 1863. The Regiment was discharged between 10 June 1865 and 18 July 1865.
  • 27th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Mo., September 2, 1862, to January 8, 1863.
    Attached to District of Rolla, Department of Missouri, to March, 1863. With the 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 15th Army Corps, Army of the Tennessee, to June, 1865.
  • 27th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) The 27th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia was ennrolled between 5 August 1862 and 30 May 1864. They were ordered into service between 5 August 1862 and 20 November 1864. They were later discharged between 22 November 1862 and 24 December 1864. The Regiment was ordered into service again between 12 October 1864 and 1 November 1864. They were again discharged between 20 November 1864 and 20 January 1865.
  • 28th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) The 28th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) was enrolled between 30 July 1862 and 7 September 1862. They were then ordered into service between 9 August 1862 and 27 September 1862. The Regiment was discharged between 12 October 1862 and 20 October 1863. They were re-ordered into service between 1 May 1863 and 27 September 1864. Then discharged again between 20 May 1863 and 24 November 1864. They were again ordered into service on 27 September 1864. Then finally discharged on 9 November 1864.
  • 29th Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at Benton Barracks, Missouri, and St. Louis, Missouri, July to October, 1862.
    Served with various units to November, 1864. Unattached, 15th Army Corps, to June, 1865.
  • 29th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) The 29th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) was enrolled between 18 August 1862 and 9 September 1862. They were ordered into service between 18 August 1862 and 29 September 1864. Then discharged between 7 November 1862 and 28 November 1864. They were again ordered into service on 29 September 1864. They were discharged again on 28 November 1864.
  • 30th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) 30th Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union)was enrolled between 8 July 1862 and 21 August 1862. They were ordered into service between 8 July 1862 and 29 September 1864. Then discharged between 3 April 1863 and 28 November 1864. They were again ordered into service between 19 July 1864 and 28 July 1864. They were discharged again between 31 October 1864 and 8 November 1864.
  • 31st Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at St. Louis, Carondelet and Ironton, Missouri, August 11 to October 7, 1862.
    Served with various units to September, 1864. With the 1st Brigade, 1st Division, to November, 1864.
  • 31st Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) The 31st Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia was enrolled between 18 March 1862 and 10 September 1863. They were ordered into service between 7 August 1862 and 20 July 1864. They were discharged between 4 October 1862 and 30 November 1864. They were reorderd into service between 10 October 1863 and 13 October 1864 and were discharged between 6 November 1862 and 30 November 1864. They were reordered into service between 20 July 1864 and 4 October 1864 and were discharged between 30 August 1864
  • 32nd Regiment, Missouri Infantry (Union)
    Organized at Benton Barracks, Missouri, October 18-December 8, 1862.
    Served with various units to September, 1864. With the 1st Brigade, 1st Division, 15th Army Corps, to July, 1865.
  • 32nd Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) The 32nd Regiment, Enrolled Missouri Militia (Union) was enrolled between 27 July 1862 and 9 September 1862. They were ordered into service between 29 July 1862 and 10 September 1862. Then they were discharged on 9 May 1863.

    At siege of Lexington, Missouri, September 11-21. Surrendered to Price September 21, 1861.
    Mostly mustered out October 29, 1861.
    Balance transferred to 25th Missouri Infantry December, 1861.
