Add links to Find-A-Grave and other online cemetery records for each of the 29 counties in Utah.

Steps[edit | edit source]

Step 1: Check the Wiki page for the county you are working on. If information is already in the Cemeteries section of that page, ....

Step 2: Copy (using WikiText) the following and paste it (in WikiText) to the Cemeteries section of the county page.

Cemetery records often identify birth, death, relationship, and military information, as well as religious affiliation.

Step 3: Copy (in WikiText) the following Find A Grave information and paste it (using WikiText) to the county page.

  • Find A Grave gives a list of cemeteries in ... County and links to the information for the individuals buried there. Usually gives birth and death dates often with a picture of the tombstone. May give obituaries, names of family members and links to their information in Find A Grave.
    • Find A Grave can also be searched by the name of a person or family to find where a person is buried.

Save the page.


Step 4: Change the Find A Grave link to the correct county

a) Click the "list of cemeteries in ... County" link. This takes you to the Utah Find A Grave.

b) Select the county you are working on and click Search

c) Copy the address (URL) for that search

Go back to the county page in the Wiki and click to edit the Cemeteries section (NOT in WikiText)

d) Highlight the "list of cemeteries in ... County" link

e) Click the Link icon, paste the address (URL) from Step 3, and click OK


Step 5: Replace the three dots (...) with the correct county name.
