  • 1st Regiment, Missouri Infantry - Confederate
    Mustered in at Rolla, Missouri, in August, 1861.
    Combined with another company. Exchanged and assigned to General Cockrell's Brigade, the 1st was consolidated with the 4th Missouri Regiment.
  • 3rd Regiment, Missouri Infantry - Confederate
    Mustered in: 3rd Infantry Regiment [also called 2nd Regiment] was organized near Springfield, Missouri, in January, 1862. Men from counties of St. Louis and Jefferson and Franklin counties. Consolidated with the 5th Regiment Mustered out: Very few surrendered in May, 1865.
  • 4th Regiment, Missouri Infantry - Confederate
    Mustered in April 1862. Men were from Springfield and the surrounding area.Exchanged and assigned to General Cockrell's Brigade, the 4th was consolidated with the 1st Missouri Regiment.
    Mustered out May, 1865
  • 5th Regiment, Missouri Infantry - Confederate
    Mustered in: January, 1862. Assigned to: Bowen's Brigade, Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana. Then after capture, to General Cockrell's Brigade and consolidated with the 3rd Regiment.
    Mustered out: surrendered May, 1865
  • 6th Regiment, Missouri Infantry - Confederate
    6th Infantry Regiment was organized by consolidating Erwin's 3rd and Hedgpeth's Missouri Infantry Battalions in May, 1862. Later it was placed in Bowen's Brigade, Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana. Exchanged and assigned to General Cockrell's Brigade, it was consolidated with the 2nd Regiment. Only a remnant surrendered in May, 1865.
