Companies in this Regiment with the Counties of Origin

Men often enlisted in a company recruited in the counties where they lived though not always. After many battles, companies might be combined because so many men were killed or wounded. However if you are unsure which company your ancestor was in, try the company recruited in his county first.

Companies by County:

Company A - Many men from Montgomery County.
Company B - Many men from Clark & Franklin Counties.
Company C - Many men from Crawford County.
Company D - Many men from Darke County.
Company E - Many men from Cuyahoga County and Mixed Counties.
Company F - Many men from Hocking County.
Company G - Many men from Stark County.
Company H - Many men from Butler County.
Company I - Many men from Pickaway County.
Company K - Many men from Hocking County.
