Purpose[edit | edit source]

Add the United States Wills and Deeds Experimental database to each county page in the united States

Instructions[edit | edit source]

1. From the tabs on the spreadsheet, choose a span of states to work on: [ Task List].

2. You can sign up for individual states by putting your name directly below "Name" above a list of counties for a state.

Note: there will be multiple states on one tab. Be sure to scroll right to see them all.

Step Two - Select a county[edit | edit source]

  • Using the links on the task list, click the county with a check mark for you want to work on.



Part A - Land and Property[edit | edit source]

Step Three - Land and Property Records Header[edit | edit source]

1. Go to the Land and Property Records Header by using the Contents on the left or scrolling down the page.

  • If there is nothing under the Land and Property Records Header do this:
  • Add the following header and link directly under: Land and Property Records header and the Intro template.

  • If there are databases already listed on the page under the Land and Property Records header do this:
  • Add this link at the end of the list of collections already on the page.
  • Also add the header, Online Land Indexes and Records listed above if it is not listed directly above databases already listed:

  • If there is a paragraph and no databases listed on the page under the Land and Property Records header do this:
  • Add the following header and link directly under the paragraph.

  • If there is an archive or court listed on the page under the Land and Property Records header do this:
  • Add the following header and link directly under the address.

  • If there is any other situation do this:
  • In the notes column (column D), describe the situation and move on to the next county and start over with Step 1.

Part B - Probate[edit | edit source]

1. Go to the Probate Records Header by scrolling down the page.

  • If there is nothing under the Probate Records Header do this:
  • Add the following header and link directly under: Probate Records header and the Intro template.

  • If there are databases already listed on the page under the Probate Records header do this:
  • Add this link at the end of the list of collections already on the page.
  • Also add the header, Online Probate Indexes and Records listed above if it is not listed directly above databases already listed:

Part C - Save the Page[edit | edit source]

1.Click Show Preview to make sure it looks good and the link works.

2. Enter in

/* Land and Property Records */  United States Wills and Deeds Experimental Database 

as the Summary.

3. Click Save Changes.

Step Two - Go back to the Task List[edit | edit source]

1. Go to the Task List and add the date next to your name.

2. Choose the next county to work on.
