Purpose

The purpose of these projects is to add new online collections to the FamilySearch Wiki.

Task List

Texas County Marriages and Divorces

Instructions

  1. Open the task list.


  2. Place your name by the county that you want to edit.


  3. Click on the link in the "County" column to take you to the page.

  5. Once on the county pages, look for "Marriage" in the table of contents, click on that link.

  7. This will take you to the "Marriage" section of the page. Click on the edit source button next to the heading.

  9. Copy the following code:

  10. Paste it into the text box at the bottom of the code. It will look like the following:

  12. Click "Show preview" to make sure that the collection was copied correctly. It should look like the following:

  14. If everything looks good, save the page. If something is off, correct the code and then save the page.


  15. Scroll down to the Divorces section. It should be two below the Marriage section underneath Deaths.


  16. Click on the edit source button next to the heading.

  18. Paste the code into the text box at the bottom of the section. It will look like the following:

  20. Click "Show preview" to make sure that the collection was copied correctly. It should look like the following:

  21. Finished divorce code.png

  22. If everything looks good, save the page. If something is off, correct the code and then save the page.


  23. Go back to the task list, mark the date you completed it in the "Date" column, and move on to the next county.

  10. Paste it into the text box underneath the {{TX Tax Intro}}. It will look like the following:

  12. Click "Show preview" to make sure that the collection was copied correctly. It should look like the following:

  14. If everything looks good, save the page. If something is off, correct the code and then save the page.


  15. Go back to the task list, mark the date you completed it in the "Date" column, and move on to the next county.
