The Las Vegas FamilySearch Center is closed until further notice

Discovery Experience[edit | edit source]

  • Two large screen interactive displays provide engaging fun and learning for all ages in English, Spanish, French, and Chinese.
  • Family groups of any size may make a reservation.
  • Church groups need to make a reservation to use the Discovery Experience (Activity Day, Scouts, YM/YW, Relief Society, Priesthood, etc.).

Prior to your group's visit to the Discovery Center please:

  • Create a FamilySearch account
  • AND bring your username and password with you
  • AND build your family tree in your FamilySearch account to a deceased ancestor.

  • Dozens of state-of-the-art computers are available
  • Many premium genealogical and historical websites are available ====

Children's A r ea ===Children's Area=== This center provides a comfortable work environment for parents. A play area for small children near computer work stations where parents can work on their family history without leaving their children unattended.[edit | edit source]

  • Convert your photos & slides into .jpg files
  • Documents into .pdf files.
  • Video tapes can be converted to a digital video format (.mp4).
  • Audio tapes can be converted to a digital audio format (.mp3). ====

Books, Books and More Books ===Books, Books and More Books=== Next to the Salt Lake Family History Center, we have the most books available for researching. We have two Special Collection rooms that contain books 100 years or older, 2,000. Then a section of collections on the main floor that include about 900 books. Another 800 books dedicated to Family Histories.[edit | edit source]

For Wards, Stakes and Family Groups ===For Wards, Stakes, and Family Groups=== Reserve a Classroom Wards, stakes, and family groups may reserve a classroom at the center to hold special family history training meetings. Each group provides its own teacher(s). Trained staff at the FamilySearch Center will be available to provide assistance. Schedule an Event Reservations may be made for special ward and stake family history events as well as for family reunion groups working on family history. Lost and Found Check with our reception desk if you believe you have left items during your last visit. We have a growing collection. Items include - glasses, USB drives, jewelry, pictures, papers, and more. ----[edit | edit source]
