1. Go to the Census heading on the county page.

2. Remove the template that is there {{Census|New Mexico}}

2. Copy and paste the following under the heading (and below the Historical Population Chart if it is there):

Federal Censuses were taken for New Mexico starting in 1850. For links to Federal census indexes, see [[New Mexico Census]].

3. After you have pasted in the collections, enter added census records in the edit summary box and save your work.

4. Look at your work and make sure it looks the way it should.
