Norway Schools

The year 1738 brought the law about schools in Norway.  It states that children were to learn basic knowledge according to Erik Pontopppidas explanations.  The law of confirmation was establised in 1736 which stated that in order to marry a male or female must have passed the questions asked at the time of confirmation.  In the beginning only reading and writing was learned, but eventually other subjects were added.
