Center Contacts and Hours
We provide access to specialized genealogical resources, education and personalized help to our patrons. On-line microfilm ordering allows our patrons access to the vast collection in the Salt Lake City Family History Library. Staff members have a variety of specialized skills to help you get to know your ancestors.
We welcome groups of all ages and interests. Families, youth, scouting, primary, priesthood and Relief Society groups are all welcome. Groups are encouraged to reserve staff and computer time by by calling Sue Rasmussen 360-653-8268

- 2nd, 3rd & 4th Sundays: 4:00 pm-6:00 pm
- Saturdays 7:00 - 9:30 only during youth dances in the Lake Stevens Building. Check stake calendar

Links to Seminars/Conferences/Media events. Free Software/Forms. Free Ancestry.com, Find My Past.com, Fold3.com, Heritage Quest online and several others. There are 11 computers, and free wifi available.

Class Schedule
Staff Training Meetings
Staff Training is held the third Wednesday of most months. We meet at 7:00 in the building that houses the family history center. We generally do not meet in December, July or August. Ward consultants and other interested people are welcome to attend.

Collections
- FamilySearch Catalog: This center has the ability to order any of the films and fiche available through the FamilySearch Catalog
Our book, film and fiche collections have evolved eclectically.
One strength is a large number of international gazateers on fiche.
We also have the Cutter Index on Fiche with it's focus on New England and New York.
The largest percentage of our films reflect an interest in British research. You won't have to order it if we already have it.
Databases and Software
Subscriptions include but are not limited to the following databases and services;
American Ancestors - Focused but not limited to New England
Ancestry.com - Large database, international in scope
Find My Past - Focused but not limited to Records of the British Empire
My Heritage - International Focus, great for Nordic countries
Access Newspaper Archive - newspapers are a great way around some of those brick walls
Alexander Street Press - Great Civil War Collection
Fold3 - Focus on Government Records. Military, Territorial, Native American
Paper Trail - looking for your westward moving pioneer ancestors? Paper trail might help
Swedish Parish records are also available without charge at the center.

Hardware and Equipment

- printer scanner - this is family search enabled. You can log into family search and save a few steps by scanning directly into your FamilySearch account from this scanner
- microfilm and microfiche readers
- Negative and Slide scanning to digital are occasionally available with loaned equipment. Call to request.

Resources in the Local Area
The Stilliguamish Genealogical Society is an Arlington based group with many genealogical resources. They subscribe to Genealogy Bank.
Sno-Isle Libraries have many resources for the genealogist including World Vital Records, accessible from home with a library account. The Snohomish Branch of the Library has the largest collection of genealogical resources in the system. The Marysville Branch has a Tech Center with available equipment for transferring various media to digital.
Marysville Genealogical Group meets weekly on Thursday
mornings at 10:00 am. Contact the Maryville Parks and Recreation Department for Meeting Place.

Volunteer at the Center
We would love to have volunteers who are willing to serve in the center once a week or once a month to assist others with their family history. We would also welcome those who want to help with the work, but don't feel skilled in family history work. Learn while you help!
We have monthly staff meetings to keep up to date with new developments and to keep us all learning.
