Closed: Sunday, Monday, Friday, Saturday and the following State Holidays: New Years Day, Martin Luther King Day, President's Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and every four years on the Inauguration Day of the Pennsylvania governor.

- Location: Forum Building, Commonwealth Avenue and Walnut Street, Harrisburg. The main entrance is on South Drive facing Soldiers' Grove behind the State Capitol.

- Directions: See MapQuest or Google Maps. (Be sure to enter the State Library location as Commonwealth Avenue and Walnut Street.)
- Parking: There are several free visitor spaces on South Drive near the main library entrance. Metered spaces are available on Walnut Street. See the Harrisburg Parking Authority website for parking garages within walking distance.
- Accessibility: The Library is accessible for individuals with disabilities through the main entrance. Any individuals needing further assistance should contact library staff.

- POWER Library. Free databases for Pennsylvania residents that provides access to thousands of full text periodical articles, newspapers, a major encyclopedia, plus photographs, pictures, charts, maps and reference materials for people of all ages.
