Two of the islands, Voorne-Putten and Rozenburg, located South-West of Rotterdam in Zuid-Holland, have a number of small municipalities. A reginal archive has been set up to include ancestral information for the following cities, towns or villages: Bernisse, Brielle, Hellevoetsluis, Nieuw-Helvoet (now a part of Hellevoetsluis), Rozenburg, Spijkenisse and Westvoorne. It also includes a historical outline of the following townships Abbenbroek, Biert, Blankenburg, and the city of Brielle. Some of the historical data goes back to the 12th century. A free website was created as a Regional Archive that can be accessed via the internet.
