Parish History

Upton and Copmanford is also known simply as Upton

Upton is a parish in the district of Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire; it is 6 miles NNW of the Huntingdon railway station. The post town is, Huntingdon.
Coppingford, or Copmanford, is also a parish in the district of Huntingdon; Huntingdonshire it is on the Alconbury brook, it is 6½ miles SW of Holme railway station, and 7½ miles NW of Huntingdon. The post town is, Alconbury, under Huntingdon. It is annexed to the rectory of Upton, in the diocese of Ely.
Together the two parishes make up the parish of Upton and Copmanford.[1]
