Record Description[edit | edit source]

This collection includes records for the years 1950 through 2012. The records are in Indonesian.

These records include naturalization and citizenship records from the District Court in Purwokerto, Central Java, Indonesia.

The early phase of Indonesia immigration started when fishermen of Indonesia migrated to the neighboring islands. Immigration to Indonesia also took place at this time when huge populations from the Indian subcontinent visited the country and settled there.

Bride's religion, occupation, residency and marital status
Complete name and age of Guardian of Marriage
Guardian's occupation, religion, residency and relationship

How to Use the Record[edit | edit source]

To begin your search for naturalization records, it would be helpful if you knew the following information:

Name of ancestor
Approximate year of immigration
Last place of residence

To begin your search marriage records, it would be helpful if you knew the following information:

Name of bride or groom
Approximate year of marriage
Place of marriage

Search the Collection[edit | edit source]

To search the collection image by image select "Browse through images" on the initial collection page:
⇒Select the appropriate “Record Type”
⇒Select the appropriate “Year and Number(s)” which will take you to the images.

Search the collection by image comparing the information with what you already know about your ancestors to determine if the image relates to them. You may need to look at several images and compare the information about the individuals listed in those images to your ancestors to make this determination.
