Revision as of 04:13, 5 May 2012
Civil registration of births, deaths, and marriages began in 1882 in Manitoba. Because many individuals in the early years of registration did not comply, the records are somewhat incomplete up to around 1920.
Some births, marriages, and deaths not recorded in vital records may be in church records.
For additional information about vital records, including research strategies, see Canada Vital Records.
