I'm curious about how to best/accurately handle references to the IGI.  The instructions on this page say to link to Historical Records.  But isn't the IGI more like Family Trees than Historical Records?  Mentions of and links to Ancestral File and Pedigree Resource File should also be removed/updated, too, right? The IGI is actually a group of collections.   This link gives all the instruction on repairing links and there is a section on the IGI:   [[FamilySearch Wiki:Fixing Classic FamilySearch.org Links]]

:That was kind of my point.  I think the instructions in Fixing Classic FamilySearch.org Links are not completely accurate. Are you suggesting that all references (explanations in text, as well as links) to the IGI be replaced with pointers to Historical Records? If I understand correctly, user-submitted info in the IGI is now found in Family Trees, but extracted info is in Historical Records.  I know our users will want to understand the difference.
