FamilySearch This article describes the services and resources available at a FamilySearch Center, a branch facility of the FamilySearch Library.


The Santa Clara California Family History Center is located in the heart of Silicon Valley and serves numerous communities. It houses a large collection of books, microfilm, and microfiche with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is also conveniently located close to the Santa Clara County Historical Society and the Santa Clara Main Public Library.

  • Family History Library Catalog: This center has the ability to order any of the films and fiche available through the Family History Library Catalog.

  • FHC Portal: This center has access to the Family History Center Portal page which gives free access in the center to premium family history software and websites that generally charge for subscriptions.
