Since 2005 a free national online cemetery database called Gravminner i Norge (Tombstones in Norway) has been created by members of Genealogy Society of Norway (Slekt og Data).
This database contains the following:
- Registers of burials created from registers kept by local church administrators
- Digitized paper records
- Photographs and transcriptions of tombstone inscriptions
