Current day Northern Territory was under jurisdiction of other Australia states:
- 1825 Established as as New South Wales
- 1863 Transferred to South Australia
- 1911 Northern Territory separated from South Australia
- 1927 Northern Territory split into North Australia and Central Australia
- 1931 North Australia and Central Australia rejoined to become Northern Territory again
