- Obituary Index from local newspapers dating from the late 19th century to the present.
They have both Kansas and genealogy collections, and are a mostly a book and periodicals library with additional good coverage for Missouri, Tennessee, and Kentucky. They also have microfilms and family folders as well.[3]
Online resources include JoCoHistory Collections including an obituary index, Olathe Memorial Cemetery index, Johnson County marriage index 1857-1907. Access to AmericanAncestors.org (NEHGS), Ancestry Library Edition, FamilySearch, Fold3, Genealogy Connect, HeritageHub, and HeritageQuest Online, regional newspapers, and other favorite web resources.[4] Some can be accessed remotely with a library card, others are only available from within a library building.
