Tuesday, May 7, 10:30 am, Glenn Whicker will be teaching “Google Photos.” Google photos is a free online tool for genealogists who are looking for easy ways to collect, organize, preserve and share their photos and videos. Glenn will teach you how to manage your photos using this valuable tool. As a Records Preservation Service Missionary, Glenn has been serving at the Payson FamilySearch Center for the past five years. He has a lot of experience in family history and has been involved in genealogy for 40+ years. Glenn is an excellent instructor and very easy to follow.
Wednesday, May 15, 1:00 pm, Steve Lowry will be teaching “Descendancy Research.” Family History is in Steve’s blood and he loves sharing this knowledge with others. He has helped many of the members of his ward, as well as youth and adult groups throughout the stake. Steve has taught many Family History classes at church and over the web, and he continues to teach a class several times a year via zoom. We are blessed to have Steve as one of our regular instructors at the Payson FamilySearch Center. Join Steve’s class and allow him to share his knowledge about this tremendously valuable tool and how it can be used to expand your family tree. Whether you are just starting your family tree or have a completely developed one, this class is for you.

Thursday, May 9, 7:00 pm, Shaunese Luthy will be teaching “Find the County and Local Histories.” County and local histories are another record type that not many people think about using. County histories can include stories about ancestors, when the area was first settled, and who the first settlers were. Come join Shaunese and learn how to find and use the county and local histories to help find other records and bring your family history to another level. Shaunese has her degree in Family History and Genealogy from Brigham Young University and runs her own genealogy business. She is well equipped to cover this topic and help you benefit from the information you learn.

Thursday, May 16, 7:00 pm, Kristy Bloomer will be teaching “FamilySearch Partner Sites.” Do you know what the partner sites are and how they can help with your research? Kristy will share with you the partner sites available and what topics each one specializes in. Bring your family history to the next level and participate in this class. Kristy is one of the Directors at the Payson FamilySearch Center along with her husband, Bob.
