Classes

The Layton FamilySearch Center offers many basic and advanced classes to help you with your family history work. No reservations are required to attend any of our classes. You can view the schedule of classes - by date or by class title - at the links below. You can also scroll down to the class categories to see more information about each of the classes. We also have the options for you to access the BYU Family History Virtual Classes and Webinars library or to reserve one of our classrooms for your group with your own instructor.

Groups: Classroom Reservation

Reserve a Classroom for Family History Instruction

  • Reserve one of our classrooms for your church, family or other group. The Center can provide an instructor if needed.
  • Each member of your group will have their own computer, and the classroom includes an instructor computer with overhead projection.
  • If needed, one of our missionaries will help get you started with the equipment.
  • This is a great opportunity to provide instruction on any topic of Family History to your group using the Center's state-of-the art equipment.
  • Classrooms are available Tuesday-Wednesday-Thursday at 7pm, Saturday at 9am and 11am, and Sunday at 2pm and 4pm. NOTE: Reservations must be made at least 3 days prior to the date you need the classroom.
