The FamilySearch Center will host the following classes for February 21st and 22nd.
Classes are free to attend. We hope you will come and bring a friend.


Wednesday, February 21, 1:00 pm, Steve Lowry will be teaching “FamilySearch Fun!Genealogy? Fun? You may be thinking these two words do not go together. Come to this class and Steve will prove you wrong. Steve retired last April after working 46 years in the computer industry. The last 13 years of his career he worked at FamilySearch. We are grateful Steve loves sharing his FamilySearch knowledge with others and we feel blessed that we can be recipients of such valuable information.

Tuesday, February 27, 10:30 am, Kristy Bloomer will be teaching about the “FamilySearch Phone App.Kristy will conduct this class as a workshop. Bring your phones and five photos to add to FamilySearch. Kristy will make this class a lot of fun and she is a delight to be around. Kristy and her husband, Bob, are the Directors of the Payson FamilySearch Center.

Thursday, February 29, RootsTech Zoomed Classes: A variety of classes will be streamed, the first class starting at 9:30 am and the last class will be at 6:00 pm.
 
Saturday, March 2, 9:30 am - RootsTech Zoomed Class: “A Pro’s Take on Preserving Your Story with FamilySearch.We will be showing the workshop of former BYU’s star basketball player Jimmer Fredette. His senior season earned him the Naismith Player of the Year Award and he was Consensus 2011 National Player of the Year. At this workshop, you will hear Jimmer and his wife’s (Whitney) life stories, spanning from basketball career to family fun. Also, they will show you how to add your own cherished memories to the Memories feature on FamilySearch.
 


Thursday, February 22, 7:30 pm, Shelly Strand/Shaunese Luthy will be teaching “The Wealth of Church Records.” These professional genealogists will enlighten your minds with the valuable information found in church records. This class will start in Classroom A and conclude in the computer room where you can work on your own family history, ask questions about the aspect taught and/or ask questions about your own family search.
