How Do I Preserve Large Family Books?
The Ogden FamilySearch Center has a CZUR Book Scanner that will allow you to copy large family history books. This is a great way to make digital copies of non-copyrighted books to distribute to your family members without the hassle and cost of making and binding larger volumes. However, to make your family history book available to a wider audience, we want to introduce you to another option:
- The Salt Lake City FamilySearch Library will digitally preserve your large books for posterity. These materials become available in FamilySearch's Digital Library.
- Once accepted and digitized, others will be able to search for a family name or place and find your ancestors' histories and other writings.
